I'm a grad studentI will soon have I have a Master's in English Literature (focused on Canadian literature) an I work in a language school. I'm an aspiring novelist, an anime addict, a social democrat, a humanist (not of the secular variety), and a book collector. I run a website on queer history and politics in Canada, called The Drummer's Revenge.

I'm also a gay Wiccan Canadian, but these days, who isn't?

Friends Policy

I don't mind being friended. If you throw in a comment about yourself, I might add you to the list as well.

Icon Policy

Feel free to steal anything of my own creation (as listed on my user pics page). For things credited to other people, you'll have to ask them.

Random Quote I like

"'We are everywhere,' our movement declares. True: politicos in Congress and community organizers in grass-roots coalitions, CEOs in board rooms and hamburger flippers, top brass in the war rooms and GIs on the front lines, FBI chiefs and street activists, robed judges and uniformed prisoners. So who will define liberation? A white, Republican gay banker who is unjustly passed over for promotion because of his sexuality? Or a Latina transgender youth who has lived homeless on the streets since she was 10 years old? If we have to wait for unanimous agreement on a vision of which way forward, we may as well go home and make it a Blockbuster evening."

"But you must not change one thing, one pebble, one grain of sand, until you know what good and evil will follow on that act. The world is in balance, in Equilibrium.
...
[Changing] must follow knowledge, and serve need. To light a candle is to cast a shadow...."

--Ursula LeGuin
